Klassik Nation president and top African producer DON SANTO will tomorrow join other Kenyans in the Saba Saba march of our lives and later launch AFRICAN LION DELUXE EDITION in the afternoon. The protest aimed at pushing the government to implement the 2010 constitution in full will be held in Kenya's capital city, Nairobi and other towns.
Thirty years ago today, an event took place that changed the country’s political landscape forever: the formation of the Saba Saba movement.
The movement was critical in pushing President Daniel Toroitich arap Moi to repeal Section 2A of the Constitution and paving the way for the reintroduction of multi-party democracy.
The movement got the name from the date — July 7 ,1990 — when its leading lights were to hold a rally at Kamukunji grounds in Nairobi, only for police officers to disperse opposition supporters violently.
His Eminent Majesty has been vocal in championing the rights and freedoms of theprovided people for by JAH and the constitution. His latest Kalpop Reggae music album, AFRICAN LION is evidence of his unrelenting concern for the welfare of the people. TEACHER OF THE YEAR! for example, hails the effort and contribution teachers make for the welfare of our children and Nation.
"The teachers of our land we are depending on
For the right of our children
So respect and teach them right
For the sake of our children children..."
The Don shall also be officially launching AFRICAN LION DELUXE EDITION tomorrow at 13:04 PM.
