NAIROBI, 29th September 2020 (Royal Press Unit) - President Don CM Wanzala has joined other world leaders in mourning the Emir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah.
In his message of condolence to the Royal Family and the People of the State of Kuwait, the Badman Killa described the late Emir as an astute global leader who stood and worked tirelessly for peace in the Middle East.
"It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of the Emir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah.. On behalf of all Klassikans, my family and I send our deepest condolences to Sheikh Sabah’s family and the people of Kuwait at this difficult time." His Eminent Majesty Don Santo tweeted.
Known as the “Wise Man of the Region”, Kuwait’s 91-year-old Emir Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah died on Tuesday after decades as a leading figure in the oil-rich Gulf nation.
Born in 1929, Sheikh Sabah is widely regarded as the architect of modern Kuwait’s foreign policy having served as foreign minister for nearly 40 years between 1963 to 2003, when he became prime minister.
He became Kuwait's Emir in 2006 after the death of Sheikh Jaber Al-Sabah.
