In April 13 during this year's World Klassik Day, Klassik Nation launched their first Music Training Center in Umoja, Nairobi Kenya. The center offers a creative haven for young artistes within Nairobi and the rest of the country.
"We receive artistes from all over East Africa who come to produce music, work on their musical skills, including vocal training and instrumentation. The center arranges accommodation for those who prefer an overnight session." said Michael the center manager.
The internationally acclaimed record label is so far mentoring more than 300 young people talented in various fields in the entertainment industry.
In August this year, Klassik Nation and Songbad announced a landmark distribution and promotion partnership in East Africa. The partnership that will see the stable's artistes have their content distributed in worldwide stores and other benefits like promotion and artiste profiling.
Klassik Nation is the first major music company to license its catalog to Songbad, which has quickly established itself as the most popular promotion and distribution service in Africa. Under the terms of the multi-year agreement and effective immediately, Songbad will promote music from Klassik’s world-renowned artists through its streaming and download platform in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda.
Songbad currently provides more than one million songs and thousands of music videos to more than 16 million users, with nearly two million new users added each month.
Users will now have access to Klassik Nation’s extensive catalog of both local and global recording artists including DON SANTO (Badman Killa), Blessed Paul, Reggie Tall, Kingpheezle, Jilly Beatz, Cash B, G-Youts and Davystar.
In one of African Lion Media Tour by Don Santo, Klassik Nation's Master General Ben Gumo announced that Klassik Nation will be offering industry based training to artistes.
"Our artistes and who are members of the Klassik Tribe will also enjoy song or album reviews and monthly rotational marketing. Customised marketing campaigns are also available for artistes." said Klassik Nation's president, Don Santo.
