Willis Austin Chimano is a vocalist, keytar and saxophone player. His deep voice and flamboyant style makes him stand out in the group. Before the formation of Sauti Sol, Chimano contested and won in the annual Fête de la Musique music competition at the French Cultural Centre
Guitarist and producer
Polycarp Otieno is a guitarist and producer. His signature style – guitar riffs blends with the group’s mix of soulful vocal harmonies and drum rhythm. His love for the guitar started early when he attended free guitar lessons at All Saints Cathedral.

Savara Mudigi is a vocalist, percussionist, drummer and producer. His versatility in the band has played an instrumental role during tour and in the establishment on their imprint label: Sauti Sol Entertainment.
Sauti Sol have been in the game for 11 years and have spent the last 5 years at the top. They're the no.1 musicians in Kenya and among the most influential music brands in the Africa. Crowned the MTV EMA Best African Act in 2014, Sauti Sol have received so many international nominations and accolades (among them being the only East African artists to get a BET Award nomination in 2015). Sauti Sol won Best Group and Producer of the year AFRIMMA in 2015, ending the year with the Most Stylish East African Artist at the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards. 2016 was one their best years yet as they swept almost all continental categories nominated for, winning the Best Group (MTV MAMA 2016), Best African Group (AFRIMMA 2016) and Soundcity MVP 2016.
Sauti Sol are the first Kenyan musicians to do a self-produced nationwide tour, creating over 100 job opportunities for creatives in the arts and culture industry.
As of September 2017, Sauti Sol became the first musicians in Kenya to reach a landmark 1M Likes on Facebook and 1M followers on Instagram respectively.
Sauti Sol’s two albums, Mwanzo (2008) and Sol Filosofia (2011), have received high acclaim on Kenyan charts and gained international attention with shows in Europe and the US, as well as television appearances, various nominations, including their 2011 celebrated concert performance in Kenya with Ladysmith Black Mambazo (Internationally renowned South African a cappella group). In June 2012, Sauti Sol released Sauti Sol, a self-titled EP and collaborative effort with South African avant-garde innovative rapper/producer Spoek Mathambo.
Their third studio album, titled Live and Die in Afrika, released online on the 21 November 2015, was available to Sauti Sol fans globally for free download for 48 hours as an early Christmas present. The album was released under their imprint label Sauti Sol Entertainment as a self-produced work by Sauti Sol. A total of 400,000 downloads were made during the free download period. Their collabo LP, Afrikan Sauce, released in Jan 2019, featured top artists from around the continent.
Sauti Sol has steadily built their professional international experience. A tour through Europe in 2010 took them to Sweden where they made a television appearance and recorded their sophomore album, Sol Filosofia. In February 2012 they debuted at the Festival sur le Niger in Mali where they were performed alongside some of their African idols: Habib Koite, Salif Keita and Lokua Kanza. In March 2011, the band made their first American appearance at the South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. In 2012, they made a return to SXSW. Celebrated by a host of fans, fellow artists and bloggers as the “most entertaining” and “best dressed act” at the festival, Sauti Sol plans to return to their growing fan base in America and the diaspora. In June they performed at the Kalorvy Vary International film festival and Colours of Ostrava 2012, Czech Republic’s biggest music festival. Between Sept-Dec 2012, Sauti Sol signed with Kenya’s Niko Na Safaricom Live Tour transporting their renowned electric live performances to their fans in major towns. Sauti Sol has also performed at widely televised events including: the MTV Africa Music Awards (2014), inauguration of Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta (2013), the inaugural Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards held in Nigeria (2013) and at the Big Brother Africa Reality Show in South Africa (2012). In 2013, they also headlined at Boombaataa Festival (Kenya) and City of Stars festival (Malawi). In 2014, they performed at Blankets & Wine at 50 Festival (Kenya), Zanzibar International Film Festival and in Netherland’s Eindhoven (June 2014).
